These are pictures of 54/1871 as purchased.

Note the rad plumbed into the heater circuit and the fact that a Twin Cam engine can be squeezed into an S2 without cutting into the firewall.

The paint peeled because the filler wasn't waterprooof and absorbed water.  Beneath all that filler lies a shattered fender.
